Come to the Brigham City Museum this Saturday, May 25th for this Family Drop-In Activity during Art on Main! Be inspired by the many houses and businesses in your community to make a sculpture of your street or other buildings in your town. What types of buildings are in your neighborhood? What do you want your town to look like in the future? You will get some wood blocks to draw on and make a small community of your own.

The north entrance to City Hall will be closed to all pedestrian traffic on Thursday, May 16 and Friday, May 17. Crews will be pouring concrete and it needs time to cure before use. City Hall is still accessible through the south entrance, and a temporary utility drop box is available on the south side as well. Easterly downslope winds are expected to develop Thursday morning in our area, peaking Thursday night into Friday morning. Secure your loose outdoor objects today, such as decorations, trampolines, or trash bins! Gusts are forecast to be 40-55 miles per hour, and there is a small chance they could reach up to 65 miles per hour.

We had a significant storm yesterday and have a good chance of rain today and tomorrow. Box Elder Creek has been running at its highest level this season as we send as much water as we feel comfortable down the creek. It is important to keep capacity in the reservoir for future runoff, so as much as is safely possible, we will delay filling it completely until late May or early June. Public Works managers have been in constant communication as they monitor levels and make adjustments to keep the community safe. Staff will be on standby to possibly help with the watch during the night and through the weekend.
