Scan & Share Event Flyer

Join the Brigham City Museum for a Scan & Share Event on June 15th from 10:00am-2:00pm! There will also be a "Caring for Your Keepsakes" Workshop with our museum director, Alana Blumenthal, at 2:00pm.

Staff and volunteers from the Utah Historical Society will assist Box Elder County residents preserve and share their photos, letters, recipes, and other historical materials that represent their past, their family, and their community in Utah. Participants can learn how to preserve their items while creating digital copies that will become part of the Peoples of Utah Revisited online collection. Owners are not expected to part with their items, which will be returned the same day, along with digital copies. These events are open to all and are opportunities for members of the public to contribute to the state story by bringing pieces of history regarding Utahns. Residents are invited to bring old or new photos- of family reunions, celebrations, work or volunteer service, vacations, grandparents, or great-grandparents, selfies or even recent pictures. Also welcome are family recipes, school awards, scrapbooks, and other types of local memorabilia. Drop in to this event in Brigham City. No appointment is necessary.
