The Homeowner Must

  1. Watch orientation video here (↗) and answer the questions before making any non-refundable payments to Brigham City or a Solar company.

  2. Read the City Code section about Distributed Generation Interconnection (↗).

  3. Complete the forms found at this link (↗) and submit them to the contractor for inclusion with the permit application.

The Contractor Must

  1. Submit the permit application, along with required documents, and pay the non-refundable $50 administrative fee using our Connect Portal (↗).

Next Steps

  1. Brigham City Power will do a preliminary onsite inspection prior to sending the paperwork to West Coast Code Consultants (WC3).

  2. Wait for design review - paid directly to and will be completed by WC3.

  3. Upon completion of the WC3 review, Brigham City will generate an invoice for the permit fees.

  4. The permit will be issued upon receipt of the permit fees.

  5. Install your system.

  6. Call Cody Richards @ WC3 for inspection following installation, 435-760-5586 (also paid to WC3).

  7. When final inspection is received from WC3, Brigham City will issue you a "Permission to Operate" letter.

  8. Turn on your system.
