Parks Division

The Brigham City Parks Division provides maintenance and care for green space, sports fields, parks, and boweries. They also care for the flowers along Historic Main Street, in the Bill of Rights Plaza, and at other City facilities.

City Forester

City Foresters possess the skills to help you in planting, transplanting, pruning, fertilizing, pest control and an array of other tree care practices. They also offer advice in diagnosing problems, and recommending treatments. If you have questions you may contact the City Forester at (435) 734-6615.

Tree City USA

Brigham City is proud to be designated a Tree City USA (↗) by the Arbor Day Foundation (↗). Brigham City meets the following criteria to attain this designation:

Approved Shade Trees in the Park Strip

Property owners and others wishing to plant trees within the parking strip must select from an approved list. Exceptions can be made with the approval of the City Forester. Below is a limited selection of approved trees. See the complete list here (pdf ↗).

Tree Trimming and Removal

From time to time, the natural growth of a tree will interfere with City signs or impede the view of an intersection. Trees are trimmed in order of request and by budget ability. Call the Public Works office at (435) 734-6615 to make a request.

If a tree within the Public Right of Way or parking strip needs to be removed, make a request for removal by using the Tree Removal Request Form (↗).
